Didn't Blair put someone in charge of UK child protection services that had already failed to protect children when she was a leader of a council in London? And wasn't Harriet Harman forced to apologise in the 90's or early noughties for giving moral support to the paedophile exchange network back in the 70's or 80's? It seems that Labour and child protection go together like chalk and cheese.

Prior to DEMOS, Bentley was a special advisor to David Blunkett, where he worked on school curriculum reform, social inclusion, creativity, citizenship, adult skills and area-based regeneration.

Bentley was formerly executive director for policy and cabinet for Premier of Victoria, Australia, and was then deputy chief of staff to Prime Minister Julia Gillard; and part-time director of the NZ School of Government.
