I'm getting back in touch with the formality I grew up with. I have always disliked the impertinent informality of officialdom because I think it destroys the autonomy of the individual; to use a seemingly obsolete but still appropriate aphorism, 'familiarity breeds contempt' and I think the presumption of strangers in addressing one by one's Christian name encourages them to regard as subordinates or inferiors those they should be showing respect or deference to . The conduct of police officers is an example, but also 'doctors' (people with a bachelors degree - sometimes a bare pass - in medicine but not an entitling doctorate), nurses, local authority employees &c. Formality puts up a barrier that protects the individual from unwanted intrusion and allows the individual to invite strangers in, as it were. I'd like to see it return. I see it as an empowering part of the culture of respect for privacy and self-sufficiency we are playing our parts in creating.

Bravo again Ben for another deep dive scoop and not a surprise to me at all that Rory Stewart is part of all of this deceptive Circus! and thank you for the reminder of your Friday slot on U.K. Column News…keep plugging away…F.Y.I. unbelievably our local rag in Carlisle U.K. The News and Star is still towing the C19 Narrative Bullshit and are trying to censor me from commenting against it all 😩😂🥲

I’m horrified I’m the first to comment. Some nobody living in the forest in southern Australia. The people of the cities of the world need to know about the movements in the direction of information control.

Thank you Ben will share

The tortoise image is used by the Fabian Society, the tortoise replaced their ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ logo which speaks volumes.
